Measuring head size for hats & caps
Here is a step-by-step guide to measuring your head size:
Supplies:
- A tape measure (or a piece of string and a ruler)
- A mirror (optional)
Steps:
Make sure your hair is flat and neat so it doesn't interfere with your measurement. If you have long hair, you can put it in a ponytail or tuck it away under a hat.
Take the measuring tape and place it around your head. Start about 1 centimetre above your eyebrows and ears, at the widest point of your forehead. Make sure the measuring tape stays horizontal and straight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it later with a ruler.
Gently pull the measuring tape so that it is comfortably tight around your head. It should be firm enough not to slip, but not so tight that it becomes uncomfortable.
Read the measurement at the point where the measuring tape overlaps. If you have used a piece of string, mark the point where the string overlaps and then measure the length of the string with a ruler.
Write down the measurement in centimetres or inches. This is your head size. To get an accurate measurement, you can repeat the measurement several times and average the results.
Extra tip:
If you find it difficult to measure your head size yourself, you can also ask someone else for help. They can help you place the tape measure in the right place and read the measurement accurately. This guide will help you measure your head size, which is useful when buying headgear, such as hats, caps and caps, to ensure they fit properly and are comfortable.

Measuring hand size for gloves
Measure your hand at its widest point but without the thumb. Check the table to see which size best fits your circumference. If you are between sizes, round up the centimetres. When trying on a leather glove, it should fit snugly. With use, the leather will become more supple, and the gloves will therefore fit slightly wider.
