Sustainable caps at Hatland

Sustainability is a hot topic these days.  Many companies are keen to invest and produce sustainably. This is better for the environment.  Of course, this also applies to Hatland. For this reason, Hatland has developed a great collection of sustainable caps. These caps are made of recycled PET bottles. Say what? Yes! Indeed, these caps are made from recycled PET bottles, or; empty plastic bottles!  

What does a sustainable hat or cap mean?

If you compare making the recycled PET bottles to making regular caps made of polyester, there is a big difference. The factories using recycled PET bottles compared to regular polyester factories use 70% less energy and a whopping 85% less water! How awesome to see this difference.  

Where can you tell it is a sustainable cap?

On the inside of the cap, you can see how many empty plastic bottles were used to make this hat or cap, how nice is that? So you know exactly how many plastic bottles are in your hat or cap.  

Different sustainable models!

In this collection of recycled PET bottles, we have three different models. First, we have the classic baseball cap, available in the colours; clay, olive green and navy blue. This cap has an adjustable fastener so it fits everyone. Second, we have a Visor, or sun visor in the collection. This one goes in the colours; clay, olive green and navy blue. This visor closes at the back with Velcro which also makes it suitable for everyone. And third in this unique collection is a bucket hat, also known as a fisherman's hat. This one is available in the colours: clay, olive green and navy blue. This hat comes in sizes S/M and L/XL.  The size S/M has a circumference of 56 cm and the size L/XL has a circumference of 58 cm.
