Waste
At Hatland, we strongly believe in the importance of waste segregation as part of our sustainability efforts. We have implemented a clear and effective waste management system to ensure that all waste streams within our company are carefully separated. By separating waste such as paper, plastic, glass and organic material, we not only minimise our environmental impact, but also promote recycling and reuse. This practice helps to reduce our waste production and helps us achieve our goal of a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Packaging
An important step we have taken is to aim for plastic-free packaging for as much as 95% of our products. We use FSC-certified cardboard as an alternative to plastic packaging, significantly reducing plastic waste while contributing to the conservation of our forests. This effort is in line with our broader commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness and allows us to provide our customers with high-quality products that are not only stylish but also environmentally friendly.
Energy-neutral premises
In 2018, we at Hatland took an important step towards a more sustainable future by moving to new premises that included all energy efficiency measures. Our new premises house not only our head office but also our warehouse, allowing us to work more efficiently and reduce our environmental impact. With this change, we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and strive to make a positive contribution to the environment while developing our business activities.
Transport
At Hatland, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, and one important step we have taken is the switch to electric driving. By replacing our commercial vehicles with electric models, we reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and reduce emissions of harmful gases that contribute to climate change. This investment in sustainable mobility is not only good for the environment, but also contributes to a cleaner and healthier living environment for all of us.
